  50. We produce about two million dollars for each hour we work.  The
  51. fifty hours is one conservative estimate for how long it we take
  52. to get any etext selected, entered, proofread, edited, copyright
  53. searched and analyzed, the copyright letters written, etc.  This
  54. projected audience is one hundred million readers.  If our value
  55. per text is nominally estimated at one dollar then we produce $4
  56. million dollars per hour this year as we release some eight text
  57. files per month:  thus upping our productivity from $2 million.

  59. The Goal of Project Gutenberg is to Give Away One Trillion Etext
  60. Files by the December 31, 2001.  [10,000 x 100,000,000=Trillion]
  61. This is ten thousand titles each to one hundred million readers,
  62. which is 10% of the expected number of computer users by the end
  63. of the year 2001.
